Test Equipment needed

Yes, we all know that these are expensive pieces of equipment and that it is unlikely that anyone is going to donate such to the club. We've had trouble even locating a shop in our area that has the equipment available to them. Ultimately we hope to one day aquire, perhaps through purchase, this equipment and make it available for other clubs in the area to use as well.
We've heard 100's of ideas about how to "field tune" these devices, some from very well respected and trusted sources. The fact remains that there is a reason why they even make this equipment in the first place. Someone decided that they wanted to be as close to perfect as possible. I don't blame them as we feel the same way. The more trash we can knock out of our recieve the less trash will be retransmitted. The closer we can inspect our equipment the better it will serve our community and the less likely to cause interference to other equipment that might be in the area of operation.
We emplore you to donate to the group. When doing so you can specify what the purpose of the funds are to be used. There are a lot of equipment needs ranging from test and alignment to antennas and feedline. So far we've out of pocketed most everything that we have come up with.
We want to send a special thank you to Roy in Valdez, Alaska for his contributions to the club. We should be in touch with you soon Roy! Although slightly damaged in transit your package made it here in just over a month. Thank you from all of us.
Just in case there is someone out there who hasn't seen Roy's request, please look for the article "A call from a ham in Alaska". If you have what he's looking for we'd be more than happy to pass that along to him.
We're already past the half way point for 2009 and well into hurricane season here in Florida. The sooner we can get everything up and running the better. Some of our members are spread across the US, and hopefully soon we'll be able to help them in thier communities as well.
