We'll See what the FBI has to say

Today I got a call from one of our members. They seemed a bit distressed about the website(s). It appears that some people just have nothing but time on their hands.
Defacing the site(s) by placing religious trash in the index pages. Is this a serious threat? I doubt it. Sorry hackers, we back up our pages. The ones that you deface will just get replaced with the originals over and over. It is a losing battle for you.
Then once you've broken the laws governing our access to a controlled space your wanted by the FBI, Homeland Security, and the Secret Service.
So I picked up the phone and called the FBI. Your days are numbered once these guys start looking for you.
Will this happen again? I can't really say yes or no. It is my belief that there was nothing on our site(s) of a religious nature that would be worthy of an attack from any outside group. This was most likely random and will not happen again. However if it does it just closes the gap a little more on the attackers.
To our valued readers and members. I apologize for any disruption of service that may have been caused. We have fairly tight security, with a few exceptions that create a better environment for our users. We could close these holes, but it would mean giving up liberty for security. That is not our desire.
A message to those who think it is a good idea to deface our site(s):
The small self gratifying reward you may feel for doing evil deeds is no measure for the true reward you will reap. You will not gain Virgins, Mythical Powers, or even entry into heaven. You will find yourself in a small cell (Most likely someone's butt buddy) cold, alone, and with lots of time to think about your actions.
We have never attacked another site (Because our laws prohibit such actions), believe me if we could without recourse there would be no internet. Most of the technologies that are in practice today that make the internet work were started right here in the United States. We have unlimited access to the documentation and a sense of accomplishment when we set out to complete a task. Perhaps if this sort of activity goes unchecked long enough we will be allowed by our government to retaliate. Then there will be a great sense of sadness for those of you who think it fun to use your computers to harm others. The denial of service and relentless counter attack would be similar to that you are probably already seeing around the world.
Best of luck to you in finding a place to hide. There are some rocks left in Afghanistan, but the American Military is busy turning those over as we speak.
